At Accord Steel Cladding, we worked with our partners extensively over time and developed our Special Architectural Finishes range. This unique range of coatings offers a wide range of effects that accurately reflect patinas that naturally occur on weathered steel. The end result creates a striking appearance arriving on site with an instant weathered look giving your new build the appearance it has been standing for many years in fact giving the impression it has always been there!
We are creating new finishes on a regular basis and would also welcome enquiries for bespoke custom finishes. Special Architectural Finish coatings can be applied to Aluminium, Mild steel, Galvanised and most other substrates. All Special Architectural Finish coatings are durable and are perfect for both internal and external use with no run off or leaching or requiring any further treatment such as sealing. When used in combination with Chrome-free pre-treatment Special Architectural Finish finishes give a long lasting, hard wearing scratch resistant coating.

These finishes not only enhance visual appeal but also ensure durability and longevity and can be used on the majoirty of the sheet profiles we offer and flashings.
Aged Rust Effect
This specialist powder coating features a randomized heavy patina, designed to give your new roof the appearance of one that has aged gracefully over a century. Aged Rust Effect is a bespoke finish, costs can vary based on quantity and individual sheet lengths. A budget estimate for this type of finish is approximately £80–£100 per metre.
Corten Effect
Featuring a randomized light patina, the Corten Effect coating imparts the look of a roof that has weathered over many years, without the runoff associated with real Corten steel. Being a specialist finish, pricing varies depending on quantity and sheet specifications. Budget estimates range from £65 to £85 per metre.
Early Rust Effect
This coating offers a randomized light patina, simulating the early stages of rust and aging on your roof. Available in various options, from partial rust effect over exposed galvanized steel to a base coat of metallic silver with a partial rust effect topcoat, prices vary significantly based on the chosen protection level. Budget estimates for this finish range from £75 to £170 per metre.

Introducing: Corro Print!
The Corro-Print Finish is a specialist printed coating with a randomised patina, designed to give your new roof the look and feel of one that has been installed for many years.
As this is a specialist finish coating costs on curved sheets can vary based on the curved sheet specification, total quantity and individual sheet lengths. A budget estimate on this type of finish would be approx £28 per metre.
As you can see this is a much more cost effective product when looking for Rust Effect Sheeting! Not only that the Corro Print even has a longer estimated lifespan than our other Special Architectural – coming in at 30 years!
