3 m Corrugated Profile Corten Sheet • 0.8 mm • 990.6 mm Cover
Overview
This corrugated Corten (weathering) steel sheet is supplied in 2.0m & 3.0m lengths from stock with a net cover width of 990.6 mm. Its characteristic rust-patina finish provides both long-term corrosion resistance and a distinctive architectural aesthetic. Ideal for roofing and cladding in both commercial and domestic buildings, it combines minimal maintenance with structural strength.

Mechanical Properties & Weight
- 3.0m sheet weight: 23.52 kg
- 2.0m sheet weight: 15.68 kg
- Maximum recommended purlin spacing (for roof use): 1.0 - 1.2m (depending on wind/load factors)
- Typical allowable uniform load at 1,000mm spans: 0.6 kN/m²
Finishes & Weathering
- Delivered un-weathered (silver-grey)
- Natural patina develops over 6-12 months (faster in humid/coastal climates)
- Optional accelerated pre-weathering service to achieve uniform rusty-brown finish before dispatch
- No painting or sealing required once patina stabilises
Installation Guidelines
- Side overlap: 1 corrugation
- End overlap: 150 mm minimum
- Fasteners: Stainless Steel self-drilling hex-head screws with EPDM washers, spaced at 250 mm in mid-span and 300 mm at edges
- Fixing into timber or steel substructure
- Ensure sheets are laid from low to high end of pitch to shed water
- Leave 5-10 mm thermal expansion gap at eaves and ridges
- Ensure any oily residue, rolling oil or surface contamination is removed using an organic cleansing agent
Applications
- Industrial, agricultural and residential roofing
- Wall cladding and feature façades
- Garden structures: pergolas, planters, screening
- Marine-edge and coastal buildings (with regular rinsing)
- Artistic and landscape installations
Maintenance & Longevity
- After full patina formation, annual visual inspection only
- Remove loose debris and wash down with fresh water if salt spray is present
- Avoid ponding water-ensure adequate pitch (≥ 5 °)
- Typical service life: 50 + years in most environments

- Alternative lengths: 800mm - 8m upon request
- Accessory range: ridges, hips, eaves trims, verge flashings
- Corten can produce a reddish-brown rust-colored run-off, which can stain surrounding surfaces like stone, concrete, and wood
